Volunteers and supporters of Laleham Park Hub took to the park over the August Bank Holiday

Picnic and Park Engagement

Some of our volunteers got together for a social picnic in the park and spoke to park users about our proposed plans for the hub. Lots of people were supportive of the hub and promised to fill out our new online survey as part of our public consultation for this project. There were some great conversations about the potential opportunities and ideas, particularly the need to have a safe place for young people to meet socially. We also had dog treats and a water bowl ready for our four legged friends!

Water Rangers Programme

As part of our ongoing Water Rangers programme, our volunteers completed a 6th water test this weekend from the River Thames in Laleham Park. We collect and keep track of water quality data to help with the conservation of the park.

If you would like to take part in the Water Rangers programme or even set up your own test site, just drop us an email at: hello@lalehamparkhub.org to find out more. We test on the weekend at the end of each month. Our next testing session will be Sunday, 24th September.

Litter Picking

Our volunteers like to help keep the park clean and tidy as part of the conservation of the park and managed to collect one bag of litter on Saturday. The park is looking so much cleaner since the last litter pick a few months ago, which is very encouraging and great for nature.
